Glossary
Many university-specific and administrative terms are highly specialised and often cannot be found in standard dictionaries or translation tools. To assist staff at Reutlingen University with translating such terms and to promote consistency in language use, this glossary has been developed. The university has adopted British English as its standard.
The glossary is a living document and is continuously expanded by the Institute for Foreign Languages. It is not intended to be exhaustive.

In all compound forms (Bachelor’s degree, Master’s programme, etc.) there are many variants.
A) Reutlingen University adopts the usage set out at the Berlin Bologna Conference (http://www.bologna-berlin2003.de/), consistently using an apostrophe + s, i.e.: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s programme, etc.
B) Exception: when giving the exact designation, e.g. “…leads to the award of a Bachelor of Arts / Science / Engineering”, i.e. without apostrophe and without –s. - bachelor's certificate

Im Englischen sind die Termini 'Urkunde' und 'Zeugnis' nicht zu unterscheiden. Im RIO werden die Dokumente mit 'Bachelor’s (Master’s) Degree Certificate Part I' bzw. 'Bachelor’s (Master’s) Degree Certificate Part II' übersetzt
