DAAD - German Academic Exchange Service

The German Academic Exchange Service offers a range of scholarships to support students planning to spend a semester abroad or to write their thesis at a partner university.

PROMOS

What: Partial scholarships for a study semester at a partner university or a thesis abroad (3 to 4 months each)
For whom: German students or those with the same status as Germans
Amount: 300 € per month
Further requirements: Period to be spent in countries or at partner universities which do not have an Erasmus* partnership
Documentation: Applications open for Summer Semester 2014. See our German page.

Go East

What: Partial scholarships for study semester (4 to 5 months) at Russian partner universities
For whom: German students or those with the same status as Germans who are planning to spend  a semester at the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, the HSE Moscow or the Tomsk Polytechnic University
Amount: 275/ 675 € travelling expenses (depending on university), 300 € per month scholarship (rates may vary)

Erasmus +

The ERASMUS programme is one of the European Union's great success stories and has been supporting international mobility for students, higher education teachers and other staff since 1987.

Study abroad

What: Partial scholarships for one study semester at an Erasmus*-Partner university; exemption from tuition fees at the receiving university
For whom: Reutlingen University students
Amount : Approx. 200 € per month
Additional requirements: Applicant must not have already received Erasmus funding

Internship abroad

What: Partial scholarships for one internship semester * (2-12 months)
For whom: Reutlingen University students
Amount: Depending on destination country at least 250,- Euro per month, 
Additional requirements: Applicant must not have already received an Erasmus internship scholarship, internship is not to be carried out at an european institution, embassy or consulate of the home country

  • online registration
  • upload or turning in of complete application package to KOOR/BEST, at least one month before internship starts

Preparatory language courses (EILC)

What: There will be a compulsory online-language-test for the main languages ( DE, EN,ES,FR,IT,NL) offered by the european commission
For whom: This test is mandatory for all students/graduates after selection/before the mobility starts as well as after the end of the mobility
Note Testing results will be no selection criteria for the funding in Erasmus +, it will serve as documentation for the individual proficiency of the candidate
Reporting At the end of an Erasmus+ Mobility
Send application to: Students apply by email via their home university. The home university forwards the application to the organising authority of the EILC, which then carries out a selection process.

Baden-Württemberg Stiftung

The Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM is a programme established by the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung, which serves to support the international exchange of highly-qualified young people, both Germans and non-Germans.

What: Partial scholarships for one study semester at a partner university
For whom: Reutlingen University students
Amount: 500 € per month, 3-5 months
Additional requirements: Recommendation by a Professor on your degree programme, very good academic record,  two-way partnership agreement
Documentation: No information available at this time

Send application to: Recommendation by Professor to Reutlingen International Office (RIO). Students can not apply directly. Application process in spring for winter and summer semester.

Fulbright Commission

The German-American Fulbright Program implements Senator J. William Fulbright's visionary concept: The promotion of mutual understanding between the USA and Germany through academic and bicultural exchange.

What: Partial scholarships for a study period in the USA (minimum 1 year), or to cover travelling expenses.
For whom: German students and graduates of Reutlingen University(regardless of graduation date), first academic degree (BA. etc.) required
Additional requirements: Very good academic record, in-depth knowledge of the USA and Germany, relevant extramural activities
Documentation: Fulbright, July 23rd, application forms need to be sent directly to the Fullbright-Commission in Berlin.
