Have you ever looked for a book in the reading rooms and not found it?

Then the book might be in the stacks!

Due to space limitations, some of our books and journals are stored in the cellar, especially if the books are older than 20 years old or the journals older than 10. In the library catalogue, you can see the location "Stack" listed next to the shelf number at the bottom of the page.

The stacks are only accessible for staff. If you would like to borrow a book from the stacks, take note of the shelf number and bring this to the Service Desk during our opening hours. A staff member will retrieve the book for you and you can borrow it as usual.
