With the Erasmus+ programme generation 2021-2027, the new mobility type Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) was introduced to promote joint international teaching and learning methods with online cooperation. This innovative format enables participants to spend a short study or training period abroad. BIPs bring together participants from at least three different countries, creating an intercultural learning environment.
BIPs can be organised in very different ways. However, all BIPs have some features in common:
- A BIP consists of a virtual component and a physical mobility of usually 5 to a maximum of 30 days.
- Participants from at least three European partner universities and possibly other international universities are involved.
- A BIP requires a workload of at least 3 ECTS.
Please get in touch with our contact person (see contact below) if you are interested in participating in or organising a BIP, would like to find out more about BIPs in general or would like to network with other interested parties at the HSRT in our MS Teams group.
Accompanying teachers to the BIPs of our partner universities is highly valued and funded by Erasmus+.
International experience: Study in an international environment and broaden your horizons.
Innovative learning methods: Benefit from new and creative (digital) approaches in the teaching and learning process.
Academic recognition: You can check whether the ECTS can be recognised for your studies before participating in the BIP.
Flexibility: With a BIP short-term stay, you can gain experience abroad if you are unable to spend an entire semester abroad.
Networking: Make valuable contacts with students and lecturers from different European countries.
Intercultural competence: Expand your intercultural skills through exchanges with international participants.
Personal development: Strengthen your independence and adaptability by living and learning in a new environment.
Current BIP offers from our partners are published through the communication channels of our faculties and university.
Participants are selected by the faculties on the basis of jointly defined criteria: Grade, language skills, outstanding exams, study progress, motivations, etc.
Participants from Reutlingen University can apply for a mobility grant to support their participation in the BIP programme of our partners. The funding rates and top-up amounts are as follows:
