Glossary

Many university-specific and administrative terms are highly specialised and often cannot be found in standard dictionaries or translation tools. To assist staff at Reutlingen University with translating such terms and to promote consistency in language use, this glossary has been developed. The university has adopted British English as its standard.

The glossary is a living document and is continuously expanded by the Institute for Foreign Languages. It is not intended to be exhaustive.

Im Englischen sind die Termini 'Urkunde' und 'Zeugnis' nicht zu unterscheiden. Im RIO werden die Dokumente mit 'Bachelor’s (Master’s) Degree Certificate Part I' bzw. 'Bachelor’s (Master’s) Degree Certificate Part II' übersetzt
