University Account

With your university account you can access various services and also use various computers on campus.

Introduction

Students and staff can use their university account to access various services, systems and computers on campus.

The university account can be used for:

  • Signing on to university computers
  • Accessing services like RELAX, email, HIP, Intranet, etc.

Configuration

Activating your university account

  • In order to activate your account you will need the information provided to you with your activation data sheet. You received this information after registration or if you are a staff member or teacher from your faculty's administration office.
  • The activation can be completed using any computer with Internet access.
  • Start your browser (eg. Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer) and open the web page Account Activation (available only in German) and follow the instructions provided. Please make sure you enter your personal information exactly as it is shown on your activation data sheet.

Passwort rules

  • Your new password must have at least 12 characters.
  • It has to contain at least three of the following four types of characters: upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers or special characters.
  • You can only change the password once every 24 hours.
  • Your new password can not be identical to one of the previous six passwords.
  • It is recommended that you change your passwort at least once a semester.
