Reutlingen – in the Heart of Europe

Known as one of the booming regions of Germany, Baden-Württemberg is located in the southwest corner of Germany.

It is home to some of the world‘s top producers of industrial products, including machinery, automobiles, electrical equipment, chemicals, textiles, modern biotechnology, engineering and chemistry research projects.

Reutlingen is an established centre of industry and commerce with 110,000 inhabitants, eager to keep abreast of all the latest developments. Modern architecture, the library and museums, a busy shopping precinct, the weekly market, cafés and restaurants that cater to all tastes are places to relax and meet friendly people. Events, music, cinema and theatres can all be found together in the so-called ‚cultural mile‘ in the town centre.

Reutlingen lies between two hills, the Georgenberg and the Achalm. Nearby, there are a number of castles, stately homes and baroque abbeys, small rivers, and waterfalls. The Black Forest bordering France, and Lake Constance bordering Switzerland and Austria, are close by. The Alps are also within easy reach.
