Intensive Course "Business German" (Sept. 1 - 11, 2020)

The intensive course "Business German" is intended for international students on the BSc programmes International Business  (IB) and International Management (IMX) who are beginning their studies at Reutlingen University in the Winter Semester 2020/21.

As well as the core language components there is an accompanying programme with a number of additional activities on offer. We cannot recommend this course to you highly enough, as it will greatly facilitate your integration into the German university system and increase your oral and written Business German language skills.

Course duration: September 1 - 11, 2020

Time: Monday through Friday, 9:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (total 9 days of teaching)

ECTS credits: Upon successful completion students will receive a certificate and 4 ECTS credits.

Language levels: Levels A1 to C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (beginners to advanced speakers)

Group size: 15 – 20 students per group

  • Students will be placed in the appropriate groups after an assessment test taken at the beginning of the course. International Management students will be allocated into levels B1 to C2.
  • All classes are taught by experienced language teachers who have been teaching Business German to international ESB students for many years.

Accompanying programme and additional activities:

  • Help with registration formalities, orientation on campus
  • Guided tour of Reutlingen
  • Excursion to Lake Constance, Black Forest and Heidelberg (€10 charge each)
  • Welcome reception
  • Other free-time activities (evening sessions with films, games or sports)

Course Fee: €250 (including classroom materials and extracurricular activities, additional charge for excursions). The course fee must be paid in cash on the first day of the course. .

Please note: If you need a visa in order to travel to Germany, you should apply for this in good time (approx. 4-6 weeks before your departure date) from the German Embassy or from a German Consulate General.

If you wish to withdraw from the course, you may do so by email up to one week before the start of the course without charge. If you register for the course but do not take part and do not inform us that you wish to withdraw, we will impose an administrative fee of at least €50.
