Foreign Languages

Language courses are offered each semester and are open to students in all Schools. The semester dates of the language courses follow those in the Schools of Applied Chemistry, Engineering, Informatics, and Textiles & Design. Students in the ESB Business School, where semester dates may differ, are welcome to join in the courses wherever practical.

Classes usually last for 90 minutes and take place once each week over the 15 weeks of the semester. In addition to the 90 minutes contact time students can expect to spend a similar amount of time on language work outside the classroom. In the final week of the course there is usually a written examination.

Students may attend a course once without formal registration. Those who wish to complete the course (with or without credits) are required to register in the second week of the semester via the University's Moodle platform.

Please note: classrooms may be changed at short notice, and we cannot always update our website in time. For the latest information on classrooms and room changes, go to Webuntis.
