Information about the coronavirus

We are observing the current Corona situation and adjust our security and hygiene measures as the situation requires. We will conduct the winter semester 2022/2023 as an attendance semester.
We ask you to enter the campus only if you are symptom-free. If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection or a raised temperature, please contact the attending family doctor/health office (by telephone) immediately. If you have had contact with a person infected with SARS-CoV-2, please observe the Corona Regulation Segregation; see also FAQ Quarantine.

General mask recommendation
Especially indoors with a high volume of people, we recommend wearing amedical masks or FFP2/KN95/N95/KF94/KF99 masks. We also encourage those who have a higher sense of protection to express this and ask to wear a mask in the environment. We assume that such requests will be implemented out of consideration and thank you in advance for your responsible cooperation on campus.

- Keep a distance (at least 1.5 to 2 metres). The minimum distance of 1.5 meters may be undercut in the lecture rooms, at the same time the mask obligation must be observed
- Ventilate the room regularly
- Wash your hands
- Avoid shaking hands
- Do not sneeze or cough into your hand

Please check well in advance of travelling which countries are currently designated as international risk areas, which regulations apply when entering Germany and which corona regulations apply specifically to the state of Baden-Württemberg.

In the case of activities which must be carried out on site at the university, the following measures must be observed:
- Keep a distance (at least 1.5 to 2 metres). The minimum distance of 1.5 meters may be undercut in the lecture rooms; at the same time, the mask recommendation must be observed in these cases.
- Alternate the use of offices or laboratories, so that a minimum distance of 1.5 metres is assured
- Ventilate the room regularly
- Wash your hands
- Avoid shaking hands
- Do not sneeze or cough into your hand

For the winter semester 2022/23, applications for Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes are possible from 25.04.2022. The application deadline is 15.07.2022 (for exceptions, please check the applicant portal). Further information in connection with DoSV can also be found at hochschulstart.de.
For the Bachelor's degree programs with open admission, online application is possible until 15.07.2022. The allocation of study places is coordinated via Hochschulstart. After 15.07. direct enrollment is still possible until 31.08.2022.
For Master's degree programmes with open admission, an application for enrolment is possible until the end of the respective enrolment deadline. Further information on dates and deadlines can be found here.
The safety and hygiene measures, which we have introduced and communicated at the university of the Corona crisis, are summarized in our hygiene concept. The hygiene concept also contains instructions on how to deal with people who are at higher risk of severe COVID-19 disease progression. The hygiene concept must be implemented at all courses, meetings and appointments in attendance.

We also ask you to observe all possible preventative measures and remind you again of the general rules of hygiene:
- Masks recommendation [FFP2 (DIN EN 149:2001) or masks with the norm KN95/N95/KF94/KF99]
- wash your hands frequently
- do not shake hands
- if you sneeze or cough, do so into your elbow, not into your hands
- keep your distance from other people
- open the window frequently to let in fresh air.
