PROFIS-Project
In the framework of the "Programme to promote internationalisation structures in higher education institutions in Germany" (PROFIS) the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supports projects which provide long-term qualitative improvements in the conditions under which foreign students study in Germany, in study abroad opportunities for German students, and in international relations.
The PROFIS-Project undertaken by Reutlingen University and NĂ¼rtingen-Geislingen University was jointly conceived and is jointly carried out by the International Offices of the two institutions. The main administrative responsibility lies with the International Office at Reutlingen University. The University of Applied Forest Sciences in Rottenburg joined the project as the third partner in February 2008, followed by the University of Applied Sciences in Ulm.
The aim of the project is to develop a joint learning and communication platform, the PROFIS-platform, in order to provide students on the three campuses of Reutlingen, NĂ¼rtingen and Geislingen (later Rottenburg, Ulm and possibly others) with an online learning and information facility which they can access at any time and from anywhere in the world. www.profis-plattform.de
